One day I found myself looking at old paintings, Renaissance drawings that survived time.
I encountered a little man on a horse. The man had a head like the sun.
With rosy cheeks and fiery hair around it, also under his chin.
The horse had a flaming orb attached to its forehead, a red blanket with yellow stripes draped over its body.
Where are those two headed, toward the horizon?
Will that little fellow mount it up there?
Do our days begin with a figure peering at us from over an edge?
