Trees and memories september

Conifers can remember things. As in: they can remember things the way our immune system does. If they were ever plagued by an insect that fed on their needle-like leaves, they produce pest-repelling oils. If they lived in an area that threatened to dry up (that one summer long ago, when the tree was still a sapling), they retain extra water for life. Evelien Cammaert created Trees and Memories. Not about conifers, but about the trees in the memories of our smartphones. You can visit Trees and Memories on September 18 at The Image Generator in Antwerp. Make sure your phone is fully charged—then you’ll see something wonderful.
