Soundings – Listen to the Land (working title) will appear along the Wadden coast of Groningen in 2026. It is envisioned as a collection of temporary installations created with the intent of listening to the land. As visitors cycle or walk from one installation to the next, a connection between the audience and the landscape deepens with each encounter.
The project is an initiative of Sense of Place in collaboration with Ruimtetijd. SoAP will join the development of Soundings from 2025 onward. From January 15 to 22, artist Rita Hoofwijk will be in residence in Groningen, working alongside project initiator and scenographer Theun Mosk, Robert Wilson, and dramaturge Jellichje Reijnders.
